Why thanking leaders matters in a democracy
Positive reinforcement — When Nigerian acknowledge good actions, it signals that effective governance is noticed and valued. This encourages leaders to keep performing.

Accountability culture — public appreciation creates a record of what leaders promised and delivered. It becomes easier to hold them responsible later.

Civic engagement — saying thank you is a form of participation. It shows people are paying attention, not passive.
