When a doctor says "fibroid" or "prostate tumor," most Nigerians hear one word — surgery. They picture blades, anaesthesia, a catheter, two weeks flat on a hospital bed, and a scar they'll carry for life.
This fear m stops people from seeking help. They manage the pain, pad heavily every month.
It is serious. But surgery is no longer the only answer.
