A former senatorial candidate in Borno State, Babagana Habeeb, has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by the Abuja Federal High Court. He was convicted for selling petrol to Boko Haram terrorists. The court found him guilty of aiding and abetting terrorism, despite his claims that fuel station attendants might have been responsible. The prosecution argued the fuel sales enabled terrorist attacks.
