Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, sentenced Boko Haram victim Ali Kolo to a retroactive nine-year prison term for failing to disclose insurgents’ activities but ordered his immediate release after more than a decade in detention. Kolo, who was shot by insurgents in Borno State, had pleaded guilty to a reduced charge under the Terrorism Prevention Act.
