Can Nigeria make public source‑of‑wealth disclosure mandatory?
Yes. Nigeria already has the legal foundation for it. The country would only need to expand and open what already exists.

Nigeria currently uses the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) system, which requires public officials to declare assets — but those declarations are not automatically public. Citizens must request access, and approval is rare.

That means Nigeria is already halfway there. The rest is policy choice.
