NASA's Artemis II launch of four astronauts on a roughly 10-day lunar flyby, the first crewed mission beyond low Earth orbit since 1972. The mission uses the SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft for a total flight distance of about 1 million km, surpassing Apollo 13's record with a maximum Earth distance of around 407,000 km.
