NISO was losing N8bn monthly at inception — but it’s reducing now, says MD
The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) says it has reduced electricity transmission losses from about 10 percent to 7.05 percent, translating to significant cost savings for the power sector.
Speaking on Wednesday in Abuja at the organisation’s first anniversary, Abdu Bello Mohammed, NISO managing director (MD), said the losses previously cost between N5 billion and N8 billion monthly.
