Nigeria’s Federal Government has commenced a large-scale trial of over 500 suspected terrorists as part of a renewed effort to tackle insecurity and fast-track long-pending terrorism cases. The mass trial, currently in its ninth phase, is being held under tight security at the Federal High Court in Abuja, with multiple judges assigned to accelerate proceedings.
