Privately, Chelsea have assured Marc Cucurella, Enzo Fernandez and Reece James that signings with proven Premier League experience will arrive at centre‑back, central midfield and in attacking areas.

Cucurella was viewed as genuinely apologetic for failing to raise his concerns privately before speaking publicly. He is also understood to have been encouraged by discussions over the club's future direction, including plans for the forthcoming summer transfer window.
