Was at a wedding last Saturday and as the pastor asked “What do you give as a sign of your love and fidelity?” the groomsman passed rings to the groom, who in turn handed same to the pastor.
My mind wandered and wondered:
What if the groom had nothing to give and said so?
Or had given any other articles apart from rings? Like wristwatches, phones, air pods; just anything but rings.
Would the ceremony still proceed or not?
