LASCOPA Raids 200 Stores, Seizes Expired, Hazardous Products
No fewer than 200 supermarkets and stores in Lagos have come under LASCOPA’s enforcement sweep, resulting in the seizure of expired, substandard, and hazardous products deemed unsafe for public consumption.
The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) said the operation, carried out as part of activities marking this year’s World Health Day, underscores its renewed resolve to safeguard the health and well-being of residents.

Where are stores getting them — from the ports or through smuggling? Until the root cause of how they enter Nigeria is fixed, raids won’t solve the problem. And if the issue is this widespread, why were only 200 stores targeted respectfully
