We are the children of sunburnt hope,
Born where the dust dances with dreams,
Where the roads may crack,
But never our will.

We are the heartbeat beneath the noise,
The quiet strength behind loud struggles,
The ones who wake before dawn
And wrestle the day into submission.

They have seen our tears
Hidden in traffic, buried in silence,
Falling like rain that refuses to flood,
Because even sorrow here learns restraint.
