The middle class is living on borrowed stability
Many people who look stable in Nigeria are one major shock away from crisis. One hospital bill, one lost income, one rent jump, one currency slide, one family emergency. That is not real stability. That is fragile balance. The country has produced a class of people who can still perform normalcy but cannot absorb disruption. A society like that may look calm on the surface while carrying silent panic underneath.
