Why fuel is still expensive in Nigeria
Even with Dangote refinery coming online, several structural issues keep prices high:

Nigeria still imports most of its fuel
For decades, the country exported crude and imported refined products.

Importing fuel means paying international prices, shipping, insurance, and forex costs.

Dangote is only just starting to supply the local market — and even then, it prices fuel based on global market rates, not charity.
