8. In march of 2023, Ike Ekweremadu, his wife Beatrice and doctor Obinna were found guilty. Ekweremadu received 9 years 8 months in prison, Beatrice received 4 years 6 months and doctor Obinna received 10 years. To many Nigerians, this is a system that works and uphold justice.
Nigerian government wrote to UK demanding that Ekweremadu should be sent back home to complete his term in the Nigerian prison but that was never granted.
