As of April 5, the Artemis II crew has crossed the halfway point of their journey. With only 126,000 miles left to go, the Orion spacecraft is picking up speed as it prepares for its historic April 6 lunar flyby.

For the first time in over five decades, humans are closing in on the lunar surface, marking a massive milestone for deep-space exploration. The four-person crew is currently monitoring all systems as they transition into the final leg of their outbound journey.

Next stop: the Moon.
