One place where the customer can never act like a king or dictator is at an African traditional marriage. In many cases, the groom is expected to prostrate before the bride’s family, present substantial sums of money and gifts, endure raised voices when expectations aren’t met, and sometimes sweat through tense moments when negotiations don’t go as planned.
