Akeem Ishola Busar has been named new head coach of Nigeria’s U-17 girls’ team, the #Flamingos.

The Nigeria Football Federation endorsed the recommendation made by the Federation’s Technical and Development Committee. Busari comes into the job with robust experience and deep understanding of women’s football terrain.

The Flamingos are currently preparing for the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Morocco.
