Why are many pastors rich while their congregations remain poor?
This is a sensitive topic, but here are the honest factors people often point to:
Religion has become a business for some
Some pastors run their churches like companies:
tithes
offerings
seed sowing
special programs
private schools
media empires
The money flows upward, not downward.

WILKIE OMAJUWA MARVIN: Do you have proof of these things you've stated here. Allegations and researçh are not the same thing.
Terungwa Tony Shihen: A church is actually an organization, the only painful thing is the disparity between the pastor and the usually many poor members.
Henry Emeka: You don’t need proof for what you’ve lived through. I’m not attacking anyone’s faith, and we can agree to disagree. In the US it’s called freedom of speech, something many feel is limited back home.
Henry Emeka: Some people feel the truth must be said: if certain leaders live in luxury while many members struggle, it creates painful inequality. A church is still an organization, and the real issue is the wide gap between leadership comfort and the hardship of ordinary members.
