This is Aso-Oke, a hand-loomed cotton fabric traditionally indigenous to the Yoruba people of Nigeria.
Know what ? In our usual economic self sabotage some of our people import so-called silk Aso Oke from France. So we source scarce forex to import what kills the economy of our own uncles and aunts who weave this for a living.
Shouldn't we be exploring ways of proudly exporting it to the world?
