Just two months before our wedding day, a time that should have been only joy, the phone call came. My husband had lost his job.
It felt like a bad dream I couldn't wake up from. All our plans, the finances, the future... suddenly felt uncertain. The pain was real, and the fear was loud.
When I look at this photo today, I don't just see a couple smiling. I see two survivors.
