My thought of Kwankwaso moves to ADC.
Kwankwaso’s former platform (NNPP) gave him regional dominance (Kano) but national limitations. In 2023, he was effectively a “strong regional CEO with no national board.”
Now:
ADC is positioning itself as a coalition vehicle against the ruling APC
His move is driven by “strategic realignment” to gain broader impact
Fact: He’s trading control for scale.
That’s a classic political growth strategy—give up being the sole owner to become a major shareholder
