What this implies for Nigeria:
Even if you scale down for income levels and local costs, each seriously wounded soldier can easily represent millions of naira over time—surgeries, rehab, prosthetics, follow‑up care, mental health, and family support.
A single president’s salary is nowhere near enough for hundreds of such cases. It can only be symbolic or catalytic money, not the main engine.
