Recent policy actions, such as agreements enabling spouses of the ambassadors’ to work abroad, may have diplomatic value. However, they do little to address the urgent domestic challenge: creating meaningful employment opportunities for Nigeria’s rapidly growing youth population. They only look out for themselves and family.
