⚽ #CAF President Patrice Motsepe confirmed #AFCON will expand to 28 competing teams with 7 groups of 4 teams each, with the aim to further develop African football nations.

This means co-hosts Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania must speed up preparations for the 2027 tournament, providing at least 2 stadiums each.

#CAF is also set to launch a Nations League by regional zones to intensify the sport's rivalries across Africa.
