FG, GenCos disagree over debt figures

The Federal Government and electricity generating companies (GenCos) have disagreed over the reconciliation of outstanding debts, with differing figures emerging from both sides.

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, stated that the government’s liabilities to GenCos may total about N4 trillion, contrary to the N6.3 trillion often referenced within the power sector.
