Voices calling out the neglect
Prominent figures and organizations have openly condemned the government’s handling of AAU’s crisis:

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan called the arrests a “dangerous suppression of youth voices” and insisted insecurity should be the priority.

NANS and civil society groups argued that students were exercising their constitutional rights and should not be punished for demanding safety.
