Buhari himself said Trump did not intimidate him
When asked directly whether Trump was hostile or threatening, Buhari said:

“I was not intimidated by him

He even joked that Trump asked him why he was “killing Christians,” but Buhari said he calmly explained the situation.

Again — not a threat, just Trump’s blunt style.

So why do people think Trump threatened Buhari?
Because:

Trump’s rhetoric about Africa was harsh.

He questioned Nigeria’s handling of religious violence.
