Trump did make controversial comments about Nigeria
Several reports (including from U.S. and Nigerian media) noted that Trump:

Complained that Nigerians would “never go back to their huts” after visiting the U.S.

Expressed frustration about immigration from African countries.

These comments were offensive, but they were not threats.
