A more provocative take
Nigeria doesn’t lack talent, resources, or potential. It lacks systems that reward competence and punish failure. When a society’s incentives are misaligned, even good people struggle to do good work. We see that for decades people sell out for money hence we are still in darkness and poverty. Leaders have money for useless campaigns, rice, beans, oil handouts but cannot provide Nigerians with safety from boko haram, no light, no jobs, bad roads, schools, hospitals
