Super Eagles defender Igoh Ogbu made a donation of ₦2m to complete the surgery fund of Abraham Somtochukwu, a Nigeria-based footballer who had been battling a serious knee injury that threatened to end his career before it had properly begun.

Somtochukwu had already raised ₦1.5m from family, friends and well-wishers who responded to his social media appeal. The goal was ₦3.5 m. On March 20, Ogbu was tagged in a video about the fundraising. Thanks to his speedy help now the surgery will be done.
