US AFRICOM: DRONES FOR INTELLIGENCE ONLY, NOT AIRSTRIKES

🇺🇸🇳🇬 A US defense official confirmed the drones were deployed at Nigeria's request to collect intelligence. "We see this as a shared security threat," the official said. While MQ-9 Reapers can carry out airstrikes, AFRICOM says they will only be used in Nigeria for intelligence-gathering and training.
