Be careful with someone who lives in their past.
Constantly revisiting old stories is not harmless. It often points to pain they have not faced, wounds they have not healed, and baggage they still carry.
When the past controls their present, the relationship suffers. You start to feel the weight of issues that are not yours. Over time, this can show up as guilt, emotional pressure, or subtle manipulation.

Gare Brown: A healthy partner stays grounded in the present and works toward the future with you. An unhealthy one keeps pulling you back into unresolved patterns.
If they refuse to let go, growth stops. And without growth, love becomes unstable, unsafe, and hard to sustain.
