Reduce vote‑buying by reducing its power
Vote‑buying works because people are struggling. But communities can counter it by:

Publicly rejecting it

Naming and shaming the practice

Encouraging collective refusal (it’s harder to bribe a whole community)

When votes are not for sale, honest candidates have a chance.
