”Matías Almeyda has been relieved of his duties as Sevilla FC first-team head coach,” the club confirmed. ”The Argentine coach leaves the club after 32 official matches - 29 in La Liga and three in the Copa del Rey - following his arrival last June. Sevilla FC wish to thank Matías Almeyda and his staff for their efforts and professionalism, and we wish him the best for the future.”

The club is currently 15th on #LaLiga standings, just 3 points above relegation zone.
