Is separating Nigeria into “Wa‑Zo‑Bia” regions a good idea?
Short answer: There’s no evidence that breaking Nigeria into three ethnic blocs (Yoruba Wa, Hausa Zo, Igbo Bia) would automatically solve Nigeria’s problems. In fact, research shows that Nigeria’s divisions were created and deepened by colonial borders, and further fragmentation often increases conflict rather than reducing it.
