Sometimes we assume diseases like diabetes only affect those in the West because of their calorie dense diets. But diabetes is a worldwide health challenge.
Over 11 million Nigerians are living with it right now according to Professor Zubairu Iliyasu of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, as reported by Premium Times Nigeria. Millions more are undiagnosed. It is in our homes and our communities. Our next post covers the types of diabetes. Stay close. 🙏🌿❤️
