Now, God invites us to respond. In this Lenten season, we are called to drop the stones we so easily hold - stones of judgment, resentment, and harshness. Instead, we are to take up mercy as our offering. This does not mean calling sin good, but loving the sinner as God loves us: with patience, compassion, and hope for conversion. For we, too, have stood in that crowd - and we, too, have been that woman. Saved not by our righteousness, but by His mercy.
