NIWA Dismisses Sokoto Drowning Report.

The National Inland Waterways Authority has debunked claims that 150 bandits drowned in a river in Sokoto State, describing the report as false. Area Manager Bello Bala said no such incident occurred and noted the river is not navigable.
NIWA urged media organisations to verify information before publication, warning against the spread of misinformation and its potential impact.
