FG Plans to Replace Common Entrance with Learner ID.

The Federal Government of Nigeria plans to scrap the Junior Secondary School Common Entrance Examination and introduce a Learner Identification Number to track students’ academic progress. Education Minister Tunji Alausa said the reform aims to improve access, monitoring, and evaluation. The new system will replace traditional exams with a comprehensive assessment framework, enhancing data management and accountability.
