They have lived together for centuries, same food, same culture,same language but when the colonial masters came in, they created a very dangerous split. Belgium ruled Rwanda like a science experiment by measuring people's noses, their height, their skin colour to decide who should be Hutu and who should be Tutsi.

Reality Check ✅: 3. Then they gave Tutsi's the better schools, better jobs, and treated them better making Hutus feel oppressed in their own land. By 1959 the resentment exploded, Huti mobs overthrow the Tutsi monarchy and thousands of Tutsi's were killed, many fled to Uganda , Congo and Burundi.
