Why agriculture is strategic, not just “development”
In the North-East, agriculture is the backbone of life. Conflict has:

Displaced farmers

Destroyed fields and irrigation

Cut off markets and roads

Increased food prices and hunger

Investing in agriculture there is counterinsurgency, not charity:

Mechanization and inputs:
Tractors, irrigation, improved seeds, and storage so farming is profitable and less back‑breaking.

Secure farming zones:
Protected corridors and safe farming areas
