FIFA has officially issued disciplinary sanctions against the football federations of Nigeria and DR Congo following infractions during their 2026 World Cup African play-off final held in November 2025.

Nigeria was fined 1,000 Swiss Francs for supporters throwing objects onto the pitch in contravention of Articles 17 & 17.2.b.

DR Congo was fined 5,000 Swiss Francs for supporters using laser pointers during the match in contravention of Article 17.2.d.
