So why didn’t the welfare handouts end poverty?
Because:

They are temporary relief, not structural reform/ invest in farming and Nigerians will be food self-reliant

They don’t create jobs

They don’t address housing shortages

They don’t fix systemic inequality

Handouts can help people survive, but they cannot transform an economy.
