Gun Battle in Plateau Leaves Soldiers, Vigilantes Dead.

At least three soldiers and seven vigilantes were killed during a gun battle with bandits in Wanka community, Kanam LGA of Plateau State. Residents said the clash began after security forces launched an operation against bandits in the area.

The attackers later regrouped and counterattacked. The incident highlights ongoing insecurity in communities bordering Wase.
