So What Is Actually Stopping Nigeria?
Nothing is “stopping” Nigeria from having crude reserves — it already has them.
What Nigeria struggles with is maximizing production and refining capacity, not the existence of reserves.

Challenges include:

Oil theft and pipeline sabotage

Poor infrastructure

Underinvestment in exploration

Policy uncertainty

Environmental issues in the Niger Delta

Dependence on foreign operators

But the reserves themselves exist and are significant.
