Imagine going to a restaurant, ordering jollof rice, and the waiter says:

“Don’t worry, we promise to cook it.”

Then the whole restaurant stands up shouting “Thank you sir!”
That's how Nigeria politicians will stand in front of a road that has looked like the surface of the moon since 2003 and say:

“We promise to fix this road.”

And everybody starts clapping
Clapping for what exactly?For the promise? Not even the road just the promise.
