Do you know what transnational repression is? Its when a government tries to control, intimidate, threaten, punish, or silence people outside its own borders.
Usually, this means a state targets:
exiles
dissidents
journalists
activists
opposition figures
diaspora communities

I spoke with Hanna Neumann, from the European Parliament about this. She chairs the Parliament’s Delegation for relations with Iran, which gives her a direct policy role on questions tied to repression, security.
