Profit Doesn't Always Mean Cash
Many small businesses think that if they make money, they should always have money on hand. A business can show a profit on paper but still have trouble with cash.
This scenario happens a lot when there is a lot of money tied up in credit sales, unpaid bills, or inventory that hasn't sold yet. The business may be making money on paper, but it may not have the cash it needs to run day-to-day operations.
