President Donald Trump said Friday that Cuba could “fall pretty soon,” renewing pressure on the communist-ruled island amid a U.S. energy blockade.

In an interview with CNN, Trump said Cuba was eager to negotiate after decades of tension. He added that Secretary of State Marco Rubio would lead U.S. efforts on Cuba policy.

Both Trump and Rubio, whose family has Cuban roots, have openly supported efforts aimed at political change in Havana.
